About
Still a “Vintage HiFi Nut” at heart
Our name has changed to Modern HiFi Nut to better describe what we do for our customers.
I’ve been passionate about music and analog stereo gear from the ’70s and ’80s for as long as I can remember. I also have a tendency to go a little overboard when it comes to caring for my vinyl collection and stereo system, so the name Vintage HiFi Nut just seemed to fit.
I originally started Vintage HiFi Nut to help fellow audio enthusiasts breathe new life into their vintage equipment. There’s something incredibly satisfying about bringing a classic piece of gear back to life and enjoying the sound it was built to deliver.
Over the past two years, however, customer needs have shifted, and so has my business. Today, I focus primarily on carefully selected modern audio equipment. The change came for two simple reasons: keeping vintage gear reliable has become increasingly difficult, and finding a skilled technician is often expensive, with wait times that can stretch for months. More and more people want the enjoyment of great sound without the uncertainty that often comes with aging components.
The good news is that we’re living in a time when many manufacturers are producing outstanding amplifiers, speakers, turntables, streamers, and other audio components that deliver exceptional performance and value. I only carry products that I personally use, trust, and would confidently spend my own money on. If I don’t believe in it, I won’t sell it.
Just as importantly, if I don’t have the right product for your system or your budget, I’ll gladly point you in the right direction. My goal isn’t simply to make a sale—it’s to help you make a decision you’ll still be happy with years down the road.
Modern HiFi Nut is a home-based business with a dedicated listening room where you can experience music the way it should be heard. The space is designed to showcase multiple complete systems and allows us to mix and match components so you can hear how different combinations perform before making a decision.
The Listening Room is set up and open by appointment.
Stay tuned—and if you share a love for great music and great sound, I look forward to helping you build a system you’ll enjoy for years to come.

“The musical journey should be fun. So I try not to take myself too serious.”
