The Demo Room

Quality new and used audio gear, cables and more …

This is where you will find odds and ends, along with some sweet audio components for sale. Open Box items are basically new, and in some cases not turned on, put on, or pulled out of the box. Typically we will list an item as Demo when it has been used at least one time, even if for a few seconds to try the fit. Feel free to call or email to get more details. Shipping wis restricted to inside the USA.

Rega Fono MC Mk4

Demo  |  $495 (15% off)

This phono preamp was used for testing a custom turntable in our listening room and probably only has two album sides, if that. So it’s basically new. This is a great value/performance option and it’s settings will cover most moving coil cartridges. If it doesn’t, that means you have a pricey cartridge that warrants a much higher level of sound. We pay the shipping and sales tax on this item.

Rega Aria MK3 Phono Preamp for MM & MC

Discontinued / Open Box / Demo  |  SOLD

Rega Aria MK3 is being discontinued with a new model coming in 2026. This is a demo unit that hasn’t seen much use. This comes with full warranty, box, manual, etc. Rega keeps parts for many years to support warranty work, so you are good there, if that is a concern. What this means for you. What I like about this preamp is you can hookup both a MM and MC and switch between the two with a push of a button. For you guys that like having two tables, this is a benefit.

Rega P6 in Polaris White w/Ania Pro

Open Box / Demo  |  SOLD

Here is a seldom seen opportunity to buy a P6 with Cardas Audio braided tonearm wiring update with 33×4 wire and PCC gold clips. There is also currently an Audio-Technica AT6006R Tonearm Safetry Raiser installed and dialed in for auto lift at the end of each side of play. You will get the turntable shipped in it’s original box with manual, extras and a warranty. I track sides of play with a vintage roots counter and this has 79 sides of play. However, I advance the counter each time I play anything. And that usually means, I am playing a couple tracks at most. Realistically, this Ania Pro needle has about 15-20 sides of play, which is enough to break it in. This does come with the NEO power supply.

We prefer local pickup as everything is dialed in. If we ship, we will have to remove the tonearm safety raiser and the counterweight. Retail pricing including the two upgrades would normally cost $3,224.

Cardas Audio Clear Cygnus Phono Cable

1m / 3.3ft, Straight S-DIN to RCA  |  Open Box / Demo  |  SOLD

This phono cable was terminated at Cardas Audio back in 10/2021 and recently put into our demo setup. However, on a wild hair, I decided to try some Clear Phono cable, so this is available. You get everything that came from Cardas, in the original box with paperwork, certificate and full warranty. This cable has been used for 29 sides of play — yes, I actually track sides of play with a vintage Veeder-Root counter. Free shipping in the continental US Only!
