The 2025 limited-edition ATH-M50x ENSO professional monitor headphones celebrate the classic, all-black style of the original M50x, launched in 2014 – but with a twist. For the first time, we’ve incorporated custom engraving on the earcups and headband, reflecting both sound waves and the brushstrokes found in Japanese ink paintings of the Enso circle. And just as the Enso represents the cyclical nature of life, so the M50x ENSO returns us to the sophisticated black color of the original M50x, after releasing a spectrum of limited-edition colors over the years.

Each pair of M50x ENSO headphones is engraved with a unique serial number, identifying it as one of only 5,000 pairs sold worldwide (300 in the US). As a special bonus, 200 randomly selected boxes contain a postcard that awards the lucky purchaser with our exclusive ENSO accessory kit, which includes a headphone case and a special furoshiki cloth custom-made by Kyoto-based dyeing factory, Bamba.
